The explosion in Beirut, Lebanon, which so far claimed the lives of 150 people and injured over 5,000.
Official are saying the cause of explosion could be 3,000 tons of highly explosive material ammonium nitrate. Chemical was seized few years ago.
Government said the damage from blast is widespread and extends over half of the city. Cost of the damage estimated to be over 3 billion dollars.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf cited to a Lebanese news agency National News Agency (NNA), reports the blast also sunk a nearby anchored cruise ship.
Cruise ship ‘Orient Queen’ was owned by Abou Merhi Cruises. Its overall length was 400 feet, it sank shortly after the last explosion.
Two of the crew members were also killed and several injured.
